Cox Business Voice makes call forwarding simple with straightforward star codes. Program your business calls to ring at your Yobi number, ensuring you never miss important customer interactions. Each forwarded call triggers a brief ring on your original phone, and you can still make outgoing calls as usual.

Before You Begin

Important Information

  • • Call forwarding cannot be enabled during service outages
  • • International numbers are not allowed as forwarding destinations
  • • Dial the forwarding number exactly as you would call it directly
  • • Your phone will make one short ring when calls are forwarded
  • • You can still make outgoing calls while forwarding is active

Number Dialing Guidelines

When entering your Yobi forwarding number, dial it exactly as if you were calling directly:

Local Numbers

May only require 7 digits (e.g., 555-1234)

Long Distance

Press 1 + area code + number (e.g., 1-555-123-4567)

Speed Dial

If you have Speed Calling, you can use your speed dial codes

Activating Call Forwarding

Turn ON Call Forwarding

Follow these simple steps to forward your calls to Yobi

    Pick up your phone and listen for the dial tone

  2. 2

    Dial *72

  3. 3

    Listen for the dial tone again

  4. 4

    Enter your Yobi phone number

    Remember to dial exactly as you would call directly

  5. 5

    Hang up after hearing the confirmation

    You'll hear a stutter dial tone, then regular dial tone

Success! Call forwarding is now active. All incoming calls will be redirected to your Yobi AI agents.

Deactivating Call Forwarding

Turn OFF Call Forwarding

Quickly return calls to your business line

  1. 1

    Pick up your phone and listen for the dial tone

  2. 2

    Dial *73

  3. 3

    Listen for the confirmation tone and hang up

Deactivated! Call forwarding is now turned off. Calls will ring at your business line again.

Changing the Forwarding Number

To forward calls to a different number, you'll need to deactivate the current forwarding and set up a new one:

Step 1: Deactivate Current

  3. 3. Wait for confirmation
  4. 4. Hang up

Step 2: Activate New
